Technology Class Feedback

I thought Technology class was a great class. I liked that it was hands on instead of learning out of a textbook. Scott, you were great teacher. The only constructive critisim I have is maybe to be a little bit more clear on what the requirements are for the projects. I also liked that there wern't any handouts. If anyone wanted to take notes they could use there own piece of paper.

I learned a lot more about word and Powerpoint. I really think this class was beneficial to me. All of the learning activities taught us about a different aspect of computer skills.

Powerpoint Techniques

In class today, we went over different techniques on how to present your Powerpoint. I liked the second presentation best because it used only pictures and no text. I also conveyed the right mood. Also I like to use note cards in my presentation as well.

The first show was not great because it was read straight off the slides with no pictures. The third show didn't have the right mood. The topic was too serious for the types of pictures that were used. You need to be careful that the message you want to send matches the images you use.

Powerpoint

In technology class we have been learning how to use Powerpoint more effectivly. I think Powerpoint is a great tool to help you organize your information. I like using Word Art and slide transitions to make my presentaion more interesting.

Before this class I had used Powerpont, but I didn't know about all of the different slide layouts that were available. It's cool how you can put pictures and text, or just pictue on a slide. Putting screenshots on a slide is also cool. I thought I knew Powerpoint pretty well before, but now I know even more!!

Web 2.0

Web 2.0 to me means websites that allow people to contibute to them like this one. Web 2.0 lets someone contibute videos or comments depending on the site. You tube for example is considered web 2.0.

Excites.com is one of my favorite web 2.0 tools It allows you to bookmark your favorite websites and access them from any computer. You can also search a topic and it will find sites that other people have used. Web 2.0 makes a better World Wide Web!

My issues

Sorry I haven't written in a while. I know it is kind of gross, but I have to get an ingrown toenail removed tomarrow(gross right). Pray for me.

Also there are fires all around southern Cal. The nearest one is about 20 min. away from my house. The smell of smoke is strong! The winds are supossed to die down by wendesday.

Did anyone see the Joni and Friends show? It was pretty good. Exterme makeover was great last night! The family was living in a chicken coop. Can you imagine?

I have been so tired lately. I'm going to bible study tonight so maybe that will help. Mireyda I havn't been able to get a hold of you lately. Talk to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got a new book called Ana's Story by Jenna Bush. so far it's great!

Life is good!

Observations

There are times when we go through life and we don't take the time to stop and look at the world. For example we just look at a sunset and think "It's just the sun going down." We do realize that God created all of the colors in that sunset. Everything that God created is miraculous.

Even though I'm in a wheelchair, God did that for a reason. Just think about the world around you!

How I want to be like Sponge Bob

In my technology class today, we wacthed Sponge Bob. He was given a piece of paper and he came up with cool ways to use it. My teacher asked, "How do you want to be like Sponge Bob in my class?" I would like to know how to make posters or flyers in word.

I also don't know how to put picture from my camera onto a Power Point. I would love to learn how to do that. Can you create custom borders in your word document? On Power Point can you make your own backrounds?

Those are all the questions I have for now.

Drean Job Activity

My dream job is to be a preschool teacher. Iwanted to research what skills you need to be a preschool teacher. So in order to do research I went to www.iseek.org.

As a result of this, I found an overveiw of the job. It said that you need to like working with children(which I love!) and that you need to be organized. I'm a very organized person. I also found out what the work environment would be. It said that you will have to work indoors, which I don't mind. I know the salary is low, but I don't care.

I felt good about what I found except that you will have to do some physical labor.I would love to do this job, but I don't knoe if it will be possible due to the physical activities.

Learning Adventure 1

I learned a lot during our first in project technology class. We learned how to crop pictures and make screenshots. Now I can put pictures in my word document. I wasn't really sure what I was going to learn so I learned a lot more than I thought.

I also learned how to save things onto a flash drive. I had never used a flash drive before. I really enjoyed this project.

Technology class experiance

Today in my technology class we learned how to crop images onto a word document. When I came into this class, I didn't know how to do that. I really enjoy this class. I know that I'm going to learn a lot. This is the first time I have ever had a blog. Now I can teach my family how to do things on the computer.

Since I just started college it has been scary and exiting at the same time. My teachers are great and the classes are good. I like it alot better than high school!

College

I just started college. It's much better than High School. Freedom! Life is a lot more hectic. I hope to make new friends and do new things.
